At the March 18 meeting of The Rotary Club of Salisbury, Maryland Circuit Court Associate Judge Matt Maciarello spoke about changes in the court systems in Wicomico County as a result of the Covid pandemic.

Changes began in March of last year with a complete shutdown of the judicial system.  Judges, staff, and others needed to develop a plan keep the courts operating in one manner or another.  Considerations were scheduling, changes to the courthouse, finding other venues for court business, jury selection, working with persons already in the system and newly arrested persons, and much more.

At the next meeting of The Rotary Club of Salisbury on April 8, our speaker will be Chris Wright with the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland, a non-profit organization that works to save and enhance lives through organ, eye, and tissue donations.
