Big things are planned for downtown Salisbury by local developer Brad Gillis and they were shared with Rotary Club of Salisbury members tonight. Mr. Gillis said the Salisbury Town Center Apartments complex is designed to attract more people to live downtown.
Big things are planned for downtown Salisbury by local developer Brad Gillis and they were shared with Rotary Club of Salisbury members tonight. Mr. Gillis said the Salisbury Town Center Apartments complex is designed to attract more people to live downtown.
He stressed the desire to bring life and social action downtown all the time, not just during times of special events.
The planning for this significant change to downtown Salisbury has been underway for ten years, but Mr. Gillis could not say when construction would begin or end. The five-story building housing 222 dwelling units and a 450-parking space garage also will have a commercial sector. A skywalk, courtyards, and a swimming pool will accompany the apartments, garage, and commercial outlets.
This extensive project will be in the area of the existing parking garage, Unity Square, the Wicomico County Public Library, and back side of the downtown plaza.
