Rotaract

Rotaract is Rotary sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18-40. Ours is a community based club that was initiated in summer of 2006. This is one of the fastest growing programs of Rotary with the first club charted in 1968 there are now approximately 8000 clubs in over 150 countries! The main goals of Rotaract include professional development, build leadership skills and service projects.

Every Rotaract club is unique and ours puts the Fun in fundraising. 
1. Meetings are twice/month. 2nd Wednesday of the Month @ 6:30pm  Frisco Sr Ctr , a light dinner is provided, often with a speaker.  We meet the 4th Wednesday location TBD for "socials" @ 6:30pm.

2. The club has 12-15 active members. We are updating our roster. We held a recruiting social in August and our goal is to recruit 4-5 new members. We are also founding our web site.

3. The finance committee has established club operating and foundation budgets. Our quarterly dues are $50. 

4. Fundraising events include:
Red Ball @ A-Basin tentative May 9, 2009 - this will be our 3rd year. We hope to include other nonprofits in tix sales.

Frisco BBQ- cotton candy- June annual

Dillon Concert- alcohol sales-July annual

Dillon Rotary BBQ- cotton candy- Aug annual

New event Red - Bowl- a-thon- Nov 7, 2008- up to 12  4 person teams with the winner able to donate up to approx $2000 to charity of their choice!

5. Monetary dontations have been made to Summit School District, Friends of Dillon Rnager District, Doc Pj's medical trips.

6. Service committments included Summit County Care Clinic, Make A Difference Day, Rotary Youth Exchange ski weekend, Rotary Thanksgiving Dinner.

7. 2 of our members have participated in Leadership Summit and one participated in GSE exchange in Germany in May.
