Join us at a joint Rotary meeting to hear the incredible story of two pilots and fellow Rotarians, Peter Teahen and John Ockenfels of Iowa, who recently completed a journey of a lifetime. The two cousins circumnavigated the world in a single-engine piston aircraft. The mission of this historic flight was to raise awareness and funds in support of the Rotary End Polio Now project. On July 30, 2023, the Flight To End Polio pilots completed their 90-day, 30,000-mile, flight that included 37 landings in 19 countries. This story received international media coverage in addition to being featured in the October 2023 Rotary magazine and on a Rotary Voices podcast (click link to listen).
