The Rotary Club of Southlake had a wonderful time with Giovanni Capriglione of the Texas House of Representatives at a recent meeting. Honorable Capriglione shared several topics of interest, including insights into the state of property taxes, a hot topic for those who recently received their appraisal notices!
Gio has recently been appointed as the Chairman of the Texas House Appropriations Committee, a budget writing committee. He has served three terms on the committee and previously chaired the Subcommittee on Infrastructure, Resiliency & Investment as well as the Subcommittee on Budget Transparency & Reform. He also serves as the co-chair of the Texas Privacy Protection Advisory Council, leading the Council on studying data privacy laws in other states and around the world.
As a dedicated Texas lawmaker, Gio has received a 100% score from NFIB for his voting record on small business issues. Congressman Capriglione has also recently been honored as the Texas Association of Business' Champion for Free Enterprise. Hon. Capriglione is undoubtedly an influential force in the decisions made in Austin, especially those that benefit our district.
