TSR goes to Guatemala

If you have ever thought about participating in a Rotary Service trip, this is an opportunity for you!

You may be aware that in June, Paul Bossert traveled to Guatemala with a group of Rotarians from our District. Jorge Coromac from the Lenexa club has worked hard on a sustainable project for the last few years in Guatemala. They have partnered with other Rotary Clubs including the Olathe club and Woodland public charity to build a community education and medical center & gardens in the town of Patanatic, which is located in the mountains on Lake Atitlan. He worked on water filters, sewing, and gardening projects on the island of Patanatic. While they were there the community had it’s first dentist ever. The goal is to teach sustainability, rather than just "giving" to the community. I have attached Paul's schedule from June so that you have an idea of what to expect. This a very affordable trip and they welcome anyone inside or outside of Rotary. Our district clubs have been huge supporters of this project.
