Only 24 Days to the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Run/Walk/Stroll for PolioPlus

The Pumpkin Run/Walk/Family Stroll is fast-approaching – and we need your help in several ways:

  1. Volunteer. Email Roger Underwood to get involved.
  2. Participate. Get the Entry Form HERE.
  3. Ask your friends, neighbors and coworkers to walk, run or stroll on Nov. 1. Find the Entry Form HERE.
  4. Go online to Rotary International, make a contribution to PolioPlus, and print off the acknowledgement for Roger Underwood or Craig Beougher.
  5. Write a check to Rotary International for PolioPlus and fill out RI's Contribution Form on our website. (Give your check and a copy of the form to Roger or Craig.)
  6. Spread the word that we need companies and organizations to underwrite the event with a $100 contribution – or more. Direct potential underwriters to the Pumpkin Run Entry Form. Help us to maximize the amount raised, so we can take advantage of the 2-to-1 match of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Goals for this year's Pumpkin Run:

  • To get the cost of the race underwritten with $2,500. (We currently have $1,150.)
  • To get 200 Pumpkin Run participants registered at $25 each for a $5,000 contribution to PolioPlus. (We're currently at $900.) Any amount you can give is welcome because the Gates Foundation match increases your gift by 200 percent!
