Rotary Global Grant Scholarships

It's again time to find those outstanding Rotary Scholars!

The District Scholarship Committee has been busy revising the District application document to more closely resemble the Rotary.org form.  We need to find several qualified applicants in District 5710. The STRICT deadline for online submission of applications at the District Level is JANUARY 31, 2014. So get started now asking around town and in your favorite colleges for scholars who want an all-expenses paid year of studying abroad. Every club in District 5710 can find applicants if we make a real Rotary effort.

One of our applicants from last year, Myriah Smith, has been awarded a $30,000 scholarship grant to study in Panama and teach English as Second Language to children and teachers there. Our other scholar is still awaiting word on his application which has been delayed by some difficulties with the online form.
