Bob Koopman, Principal - Professional Engineering Consultants
Bob Koopman is a Principal for Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) in their Topeka, Kansas office. He has been with the firm for 20+ years, and is currently the Water/Wastewater Division Manager in the Topeka office. His areas of design experience are in clean water, waste water, storm water, and site-civil design. He previously worked for firms in Washington, D.C, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is a member of a number of professional organizations including the American Water Works Association, the Water Environment Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kansas.
Bob was born and grew up on a farm just outside of the small town of LeMars in Northwest Iowa. He attended Iowa State University in Ames, and obtained a BS degree in Engineering. Bob and his wife, Maureen, have two children; Nicole (21), and Jared (12). He is active in the Knights of Columbus, and he and Maureen enjoy attending the Topeka Civic Theatre. Bob also enjoys playing basketball (still), and fishing when he can find the time.
