In his spare time Allan is President of Fidelity State Bank and Trust Company.  He started his banking career as an Examiner for the State of Kansas Office of the Bank Commissioner after graduating from Washburn University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting and Finance.  As a bank examiner, Allan worked in the Chanute, Topeka, and Overland Park Field Offices examining banks in Eastern Kansas.  During his 7 years of examining banks, Allan had the experience of assessing the quality of a diverse range of banks from very small rural banks to very large urban banking groups.  Allan looks back at this time as a great opportunity to learn from the experiences of many bankers both good and bad.  Allan worked for a small bank in Olathe Kansas for 4 years prior to having the opportunity to join Fidelity State Bank and Trust Company in August 1996.  Allan was named President of Fidelity Bank in 2009 due to the guidance and leadership he provides the bank.  Fidelity State Bank and Trust Company is the only commercial bank with offices in Topeka that has no repossessed real estate and no real estate in foreclosure.  They have the lowest problem assets ratio of the 19 commercial banks in Topeka.  Allan believes this is a result of 90 years of responsible practices concentrating on the success of the customer.
