The Guatemala team consisted of 29 volunteers working in five different communities in the Lake Atitlan region. The grand totals for the week in Guatemala are 1,137 patients seen by the volunteers from the Washburn University School of Nursing, seven water filters assembled for Patanatic families, 32 shoes and socks received by the children of the Patanatic Elementary school donated by Topeka South Rotary, and ten beds were assembled in the homes of the recipients in Patanatic (fundraising provided by Jean McClure).
