From the President...2013-2014 Topeka South Rotary Goals and Budget

Hello everyone! I am thrilled and honored to serve as your president for the 2013-2014 Rotary year. We have a very special group of members at Topeka South Rotary and my club membership at TSR has been a very important part of my life since 1999!

At the June 28 transition meeting, I visited about the goals that the board has set for our year. We as a club submit three major goals to Rotary International and I wanted to make you aware of those:  Total contributions to the Rotary International Foundation Annual Giving Fund - $12,000; Total contributions to Polio Eradication - $3,250; Membership Goal - Plus 3 from our ending membership number on June 30 (114)

Stay tuned - you will all be hearing more about how I hope to engage each of you to help meet these goals and others!

At this Friday's meeting, I will once again be distributing a draft budget for Topeka South Rotary for 2013-2014. While the board of directors is responsible for approving the budget, I wanted every member to have an opportunity to review the draft and contact me with any comments prior to our board meeting on July 19.  I do want to let you know that a proposed increase in dues (for three quarters) is included in the budget. If you are not able to attend Friday's meeting, and would like to receive a copy of the draft budget, please contact me at marlou.wegener@bcbsks.com and I will get one sent to you.
