Erik Karre Chosen Assistant Governor

Erik joined Rotary in 2003 as a member of the Kearney Noon Rotary Club. In 2008 he and two others help start the Kearney on the Bricks Rotary Club and he served as the charter president. Then in 2013 he joined the Kearney Dawn Rotary Club.

In the midst of all of that, he served as a Senior Counselor for RYLA for four years and served as the Chair of RYLA for three years. In 2015 he took a trip to Haiti with other Rotarians as a part of the Mission II Haiti and helped repair water wells and gave out clothing to children.

Then his Rotary story picks up with the Topeka South Rotary Club. Throughout his time in Rotary, Erik helped with a number of other volunteer roles. Outside of Rotary he works for the Jayhawk Area Council, Boy Scouts of America; a position he's held for just over a year. Erik has been with the Boy Scouts of America now for almost 13 years. "I’m a Husker fan through and through, but don’t hold that against me," he says.

He's also heavily involved at Christ the King Parish, the Knights of Columbus, and Credo. Congratulate Erik on this position!
