Last week's Rotary Peace & Justice presentation by Imam Omar Hazim stressed the importance of education to create peace and understanding. This was the second in a series of events by the multi-club effort toward peace.

Thanks to Patti Mellard, Peace and Justice Committee Chair, for an excellent program.

Committee chair Patti Mellard said the committee’s mission is education about the differences and similarities among groups of people. The best way to promote peace is to educate ourselves about the differences in our own community,” she said. “If you understand the other person, then you’re more likely to communicate and collaborate with that person and the differences go away.”
