This Friday, May 6, President Faron will draw the name of the lucky winner of 800 Paul Harris Recognition Points!
As you've heard for months, our club has the goal to donate $12,000 to the Rotary Foundation's Annual SHARE Program. The Rotary year runs from July 1 to June 30. To date, we are at just 73 percent of our goal.
Don't miss Friday's meeting – you could be the lucky winner!
And you can still give today:
As I mentioned in the eBulletin last week, giving to the SHARE fund is simple and can be done a number of ways:

As Club Foundation Chair, I would be happy to assist you in any way to make the contribution process as easy and efficient for you as possible. I also am available at any time to answer any questions.
Thank you to the members who came to me with this proposal – and thank you all for your past donations and consideration to giving in the future.

For this reason, three of our members graciously came forward with a very generous "member match." This two-phase offer has the potential to help us make significant progress toward our goal:
PHASE 1: Any member who gives at least $100 to the Annual SHARE Fund between now and May 1 will receive an additional 100 Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) recognition points.*
PHASE 2: Two lucky members from Phase 1 will win an additional 800 PHF recognition points!
Here's how this tremendous member match will work:
- Each member who has donated at least $100 between now and May 1 will be entered into a drawing. (You will receive 100 PHF recognition points for your contribution, plus 100 points from Phase 1 of the member match.)
- At our general membership meeting on May 6, 2016, President Faron will draw the names of two lucky members.
- Each winner will receive an additional 800 points from Phase 2 of the member match, for a grand total of 1,000 PHF recognition points.
Any Rotarian who accumulates 1,000 or more PHF recognition points will earn a distinguished Paul Harris Fellow Award – so you can see why 800 points is such a powerful opportunity for members individually and for our club as a whole! I hope many of you will be encouraged by this match and consider making a commitment.
*Only the first $100 will be matched by this offer; however, contributions of more than $100 are certainly welcome!
More on Paul Harris Recognition Points
The Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 USD to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. This program was established in 1957 to show appreciation for and encourage substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.
When you give $100 to the SHARE fund in Phase 1, you not only help our club reach our annual goal, you earn 200 recognition points toward the PHF award you are closest to based on all of your contributions to date. What makes Phase 2 of the member match such an incredible opportunity is that you ALSO receive an additional 800 points, for a grand total of 1,000 PHF recognition points!
