Patti Bossert Nominated for Rotary International’s “Women of Action”

Rotary District 5710 recently nominated Patti Bossert, a Topeka South Rotarian, for the Rotary International “Women of Action” honor. The recognition highlights the important role that women play in advancing economic development and keeping the international community’s focus on the empowerment and promotion of women and girls.

On Oct. 7, 2014, Rotary International and The White House will honor six to eight Rotary Club members from across the United States as “Women of Action” during Rotary Day in Washington, D.C. These women will be recognized for their professional achievements and volunteer efforts to improve the lives of others in their communities and around the world.

Patti has been active in Rotary for 25 years, serving as club president, assistant governor, district membership chair, district conference chair, and more. She currently chairs the District World Peace Fellowship Committee.

In addition to leading Topeka South Rotary’s Sole Mates service project, Patti has performed humanitarian work in Guatemala. She also is financially supporting the education of a student who plans to attend medical school and then return to Patanatic, Guatemala, as that community’s first medical doctor. As if that's not enough, Patti was just named an inductee into the Topeka Business Hall of Fame. Way to go, Patti!
