Last month, the TSR board approved a $500 donation to Woodland Public Charity for supplies to be sent to the victims of a massive fire that hit Chepo, Panama, on June 2. Although there were no human casualties reported, the blaze consumed 150 wood homes and displaced more than 1,000 people in the indigenous community of Aguas Claras, Bayano, Mandugandi Comarca of Chepo District.
 
On July 30, Woodland Public Charity filled a large container with donations for Chepo, created this video and thanked donors:
 
Thank you to all volunteers and organizations that teamed up to respond to the emergency in Aguas Claras, Chepo, Panama. The 40-foot container is on its way to Panama!!! Thank you, thank you!
 
In Woodland, we are so grateful [for] the response of many organizations and individuals. The first part of the job is done ... now will keep working to coordinate the arrival of the container [in] Panama and the distribution to the people of Aguas Claras.
