Ira Stamm, Ph.D., is a psychologist in private practice in Topeka. In 1972, Ira and his wife, Joanna, came to Topeka from New York, Boston, and Providence, Rhode Island, for Ira to complete the two year Post-Doctoral Training Program in Clinical Psychology at the Menninger Clinic. Ira then remained on the staff of Menninger for the next 21 years.

At Menninger, Dr. Stamm was regarded as a skilled therapist, teacher, and supervisor. He served on the faculties of the Karl Menninger School of Behavioral Health Sciences and the Topeka Institute for Psychoanalysis. He completed the Training Program in Marriage and Family Therapy at Menninger.

Dr. Stamm has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology and as Editor and Co-Editor of the Bulletin of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology.

Ira’s wife, Joanna Stamm, is a psychiatric social worker, and is also in private practice in Topeka. They share an office. Ira and Joanna have two adult daughters and three grandchildren.
