For more than 45 years, Rotary has led the fight to eradicate polio, helping reduce cases worldwide by 99.9%. With the finish line in sight, our mission continues until every child is protected. Let's show our Rotary pride and come together in support of this important recognition and our shared commitment to End Polio Now! Each classroom selects one student, who is honored during a special pizza lunch where their certificate and the kind remarks written by their teacher are read aloud. Rotarian volunteers attend the lunch to sit with students, offer encouragement, and make the experience feel meaningful and personal. Every honoree also receives a donated book to take home, and all costs are covered by the Rotary club as part of its commitment to supporting students and strengthening the school community. Festival of Trees Wrap-Up & Tree Pick-UpWhen: Saturday, December 5 | 5:45–9:00 PM Where: Fairlawn Plaza Mall Help us wrap up another wonderful Festival of Trees! Volunteers will assist with packing up Festival Headquarters, preparing decorated trees and silent auction items for pick-up, and helping ensure everything gets to its new home. This is a hands-on volunteer opportunity that involves walking, lifting, and carrying items, some of which may be heavy. Pizza and drinks will be provided by SLI! Come lend a hand as we bring this festive event to a close! |
