- For efficiency purposes, the club voted to cut one check to Feed Northland Kids specifically designated to help kids/families in Liberty Public Schools. The amount of the check is approximately what we would have paid Marta for breakfasts in the five weeks of April, or $110 per week, for a total of $550.
- If you wrote a personal check to the Club and mailed it to the PO box, please let Tyler know if you want your check amount to be included in the check we write to Feed Northland Kids. I know of at least a couple of people who have done this so far.
- When I asked Marta if she needed anything and what her thoughts were on donating her usual pay to Feed Northland Kids, here was her response:
- “Oh you all are sweet and I miss you!! Thank you!! Donate to those kids!...”
- She also said that Bill is on his way home and starts his new job (virtually) on Monday
Good morning everyone!
Thank you so much for everyone who was able to join us this morning on our Zoom Rotary Meeting. Another big shout-out to Shane for making sure we were set up properly and ready to go.
Here are a couple of highlights from the meeting
- If you’d like to make a monetary donation to Feed Northland Kids on your own, here is the link to do so: click here
- Again, you can designate where you’d like your funds to be focused, whether that be LPS, another Northland school, or the area with the greatest need.
- The Club also unanimously voted to make Marta an honorary member. She is ecstatic and said that brought tears to her eyes. Hopefully she’ll be able to attend our virtual meeting next Friday.
- The club discussed getting some virtual programs lined up. If you know of anyone who might like to do a virtual program, please let Larry know.
