Dale Carnegie said that a person’s name is his or her favorite word in the world.
There are many advantages to remembering someone’s favorite word. Recalling and using someone’s name:
Shows that you’re listening
Demonstrates that you care, which is even better than saying that you care
Makes you more persuasive
Makes conversation more challenging and fun

Choosing - Did you know that the role of Neo in The Matrix was first offered to Will Smith? Kenau Reeves, of course, took the red pill, but Will's decision to pass got me thinking about the value of missed opportunities.
I sat by a New Rotarian recently at a club meeting I was attending. The New Rotarian was not from that community. I asked her why she didn't join the Rotary club where her home was located. Her reply "They didn't ask me!"
My brother recently joined the KCI club and my nephew joined the Lee's Summit Club last year. All because I reached out to those clubs and let them know I had a good prospect for them.
We learn from the action we take and we also learn from inaction. Who can you reach out to and invite to Rotary this week? Who can you recommend to a Rotary Club? Who haven't you asked to join your club?
