My apologies for using the wrong date in the email I sent last night regarding the Annual Business Meeting.
It is scheduled for June 22 rather than May 22.
The Zoom link was correct. May 22 was a big part of Rotary life this spring with all that went into the Foundation Celebration. Fascinating and frustrating how the brain works sometimes! I will copy the original email with the correct date and attachments below.
This email is directed to all 6040 Rotarians relating to the annual business meeting.
According to the Rotary International Bylaws, we need to have a District business meeting every Rotary year to present the Immediate Past District Governors financial report, the minutes from last year’s annual meeting as well as the District Governor Elect’s budget for the 2020-2021 Rotary year. This would normally happen at a District Assembly but do to Covid restrictions, we moved our Annual Foundation Dinner from the fall to a Zoom Foundation Celebration in May. So, we will hold this meeting via ZOOM as a virtual meeting which Rotary's board has approved for all Rotary business during this pandemic on June 22 at 6pm.
The attached documents include IPDG Marc Horner’s financial report from the 2019-2020 year. Also, attached is the budget for Rotary year 2020-2021 from District Governor-Elect David McCaughey. You will also find attached the Rotary District 6040 proxy certification document that explains the number of votes based on club membership and the voting procedure.
If the club President cannot attend they can identify a proxy who will vote in their stead. The Club President and Club Secretary need to certify who will serve as the Proxy for your club by sending Johnah Terbovic the proxy statement; via email, with the Proxy's name on it to rotary6040office@gmail.com
The minutes from last year’s annual meeting held on Zoom on June 25, 2020 will be emailed in a few days. There will be a time for questions during the zoom meeting prior to the votes.
