Janine Davidson, Ph. D., is a trailblazing leader who has moved from the cockpit of a tactical military aircraft to the highest levels of the Pentagon. As the President of Metropolitan State University of Denver, she leads Colorado’s third-largest university with a focus on "holding the line on the American dream."
Davidson was the first woman to fly the Air Force’s tactical C-130 and later taught aerobatics at the U.S. Air Force Academy. In 2016, she served as the 32nd Under Secretary of the United States Navy, managing a budget of over $170 billion and 900,000 personnel.
Today, President Davidson continues her service as the chair of the Department of Defense Policy Board, advising the Secretary of Defense on global strategy. With a Ph.D. in international studies and as a former senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, Davidson is a leading national voice on leadership, security, and the transformative power of education.
