Exciting times!
Our December 6 meeting will feature a Club Assembly during which we will vote for the Club President Nominee position. This person will serve as Club President in 2020-2021 following Harbinder Sikka.
The Nominating Committee met on November 29 and after a collegial discussion agreed on a person to nominate for this position -- our nomination was accepted. Come to the meeting to learn just who that is!
During the Assembly, club members will have an opportunity to suggest nominations from the floor after which we will take a vote.
This will mark the first time in recent memory that our club will have a President, President-elect and President Nominee in line and on time! Things are looking up!
Also exciting is another first for my President's year; we will present a proposed member for induction, Manjeet Singh who responded to our MeetUp page. Our club Membership Chair, Joy Engstrom had a lengthy interview with Manjeet and enthusiastically recommended him for membership. Those of us at the Nov. 29 Auction Item Preparation meeting* met Manjeet who not only attended, but pitched right in to help. In line with our 5-year goal of reaching 45 members, Manjeet is the first of at least four new members we hope to have join us this year.
*A big thank you is due to Marisa Otto for, as in past years, graciously letting us use her billiard table (covered) on which to work -- her entry area now houses a bevy of auction items ready for transportation to the South Bay Yacht Club on December 8 for our Crab Feed.

Speaking of the Crab Feed Harbinder Sikka, who as Club Service Chair/President-elect is the lead on this fundraiser, announced that we are officially SOLD OUT. Good job everyone!
For the remainder of our Dec. 6 meeting, we will review the event, making sure that we have all areas of responsibility covered. Remember to bring your best offering for the dessert auction on Saturday!
The following Thursday will see us back at the Otto home for our annual club Holiday Party at 6PM (no lunch meeting that day). A sign-up sheet for the potluck will be distributed and a "head count" will be taken of those who will be joining us for the festivities. Those not present will receive a printed invitation by mail.
Let's have a good turnout December 6 for these are exciting times!
