Proud Moments

 

Polio Proclamations - It was indeed a pleasure to walk into our Club meet last Thursday to a much larger audience and to receive those wonderful proclamations from the State and County for Rotary's work with Polio. 

 

The previous evening President Robbie, Nick, Charlie, Debbie, Brian, Maryann and Suguna were brimming with Pride at San Jose City Hall on receiving a Proclamation from the City Council for our work on Polio. It was a big week for our small club to be further recognized by State Assembly Member and our very own Kansen Chu, and by Santa Clara County Supervisor Cindy Chavez on behalf of the county. Kansen Chu described us as a "small but mighty group of Rotarians" as we bring recognition to Rotary International by being active in our neighborhood. October is Polio Month with October 24, 2015 declared as World Polio Day. A heartfelt thanks to all our fellow Rotarians who have reached out to make our presence felt.
