Induction of Van Le
A community leader for 20 years and still wants to further extend her services to the community through the Rotary Club of San Jose East/Evergreen. It was indeed a pleasure watching President Robbie induct her as the newest member of our club and listening to her accomplishments. She swam across the shore from San Francisco to Alcatraz to help raise funds and awareness for Battered Women, was elected to the East Side Union High School District Board of Trustees, had improved business and neighborhood conditions through her work with the City of San Jose and Redevelopment Agency, has continuously strived to work for the Vietnamese community, and is currently running her own business representing State Farm.
Van has been a resident of San Jose since 1984, and has graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Business Administration. She is the recipient of many awards including Circle of Excellence Good Neighbor Award, Martin Luther King Jr Award, Recognition from Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren for Public and Community Service and the Kindred Spirit Award from the Children's Discovery Museum. We heartfully welcome her into the club.
