President’s Greeting:  
 
Good afternoon!   I’d like to welcome you to the Rotary Club of Mountain View. My name is Bert Raphael, your President for 2018-2019. 
 
Our Rotary International theme for this is “Be the Inspiration”.  Our Mountain View Rotary Club theme is “Have Fun Being the Inspiration.”  
 
Introduction of Visiting Rotarians & Guests:  Tom – we had a visitor Rob Holbrook who is semi-retired
 
Announcements:
  • Thanks to Hiro   for being the “3’fer” today!
  • Bert/Dave /Jim – Art/Wine service project update. CSMA update.
  • Paul/Bert – Stevens Creek Trail cleaning project update – city wants our club to apply for a business license to complete our contract.  There is not a fee for non-profits.
  • Bert – District emphasis on membership. Rotaract dual memberships. Bring a friend to Rotary. “Elevator speech” and guest cards.
  • Bert – Avenues of Service – he circulated a sign-up sheet
  • Bert – MTC announcement – see flyer
  • Bert – Howard Tours trip to West Africa
 
Members to Remember -    Alan was not present as his wife Kathleen has recently had surgery.

Kim Copher, Director of Leadership Mountain View. 
 
 
Kim is now the LMV Program Director as well as a member of Los Altos Rotary.  She moved to Mountain View in 1994 and completed the leadership training in 2013. 
 
LMV is a community leadership program for adults who live and work in MV.  The program lasts 9 months and requires a one day a month commitment of active learning.    The program has 36 people signed up this year and a total of 760 graduates.  More information can be found at:
