We received an update on the Foothill-De Anza Community College District from its Chancellor, Dr. Judy C. Miner.

Dr. Miner has worked as a higher education administrator since 1977 and in the California Community Colleges since 1979. She has held numerous administrative positions in instruction, student services, and human resources at City College of San Francisco, the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, De Anza College, and most recently at Foothill College where she served as president from 2007 to 2015.

Dr. Miner said she is constantly inspired by her colleagues at the District.   De Anza College recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary and Foothill College celebrated its 60th Anniversary.  She provided updates on a number of things happening in the District, including:   recent grants received, global learning programs, student accomplishments, musical theater program, the Family Engagement Institute, a new food service provider program with Google, and much more.  She said that Measure C, passed in 2006, made such a difference throughout the campuses.  Responding to a question, Dr. Miner said the average cost for a student per year at Foothill-De Anza is $1,500.
