Club Business:

Literacy Month-time to promote literacy already conducted the 4-Way Test essay contest and working on the date and time for the distribution of the dictionaries for the 3rd grade.

Invitations are ready so take a few for the guests you are planning to bring!

Cookbook Meeting

March 10th begin meeting at 5:00 p.m. to talk about the cookbook. Tuesday, March 10th Board of Director's Meeting at 5:30.

Joyce's idea of producing bags for 2.95 nice recyclable bags. 99 cents each, sell for 2.95.

Two open positions public relations chair and Jan has agreed to be the treasurer. Yeah! Way to go JanJ

Our club won 200 dollars and might be a reinvestment for the cost of the green screen.

New field trips Cayucos School March 17th, 2009, and the field trip to El Chorro Regional Park April 30th.

The Rotary Foundation T.R.F. 3 goals: annual fund giving, Polio Plus, Permanent Fund. Paul Harris is founder of Rotary International. Need to improve the report card and bring this club up the ranks!

Group 11 President's Meeting by all means join Sherry at these meetings.

Guest Speaker Steve Spisak from the Cambria Noon Club

4th year as a Rotarian. Every year puts together during Spring Break parents and High School kids and drive to Mexico to build a home in 4-5 days and turn it over to families. Day before Easter arrive and on Easter Sunday the work begins. Kids mix the concrete, build the frames, install asphalt roof, stucco etc. Work 12 hours a day and it's all about what you are giving in the end. The tears that flow and the heartfelt sentiment is priceless.

Hearing Everett

is a film that you should check out about helping the deaf. Gives them names birthdates and an identity after being abandoned by their parents.
