Guest Speakers,Marie and Wilfred from the Rotary Club of Fresno, spoke to our club about how families in Africa are cooking with solar energy.
 
Rotary Club of Cayucos-Seaside Thursday, October 01, 2009 Call to order: 7:17 a.m. Pledge Invocation Club Business: ï‚· This month is vocational service month. A chance for Rotarians to get in touch with the community to give or add business assistance, and give craft talks. ï‚· October 15th is the next Board of Directors meeting. ï‚· Beach Clean up is on October 17th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. ï‚· We are dark on October 22nd, 2009. ï‚· DG visit to our club November 5th, 2009. Board of Director's meeting will take place after the regular meeting. ï‚· Cookbook deadline is the end of October. Recipes have all bee typed. The next step is to choose pictures. Great job ladies! ï‚· Polio ride update: Press release has been written and pledge sheet looks great. ï‚· Electronics: Sherry will create flyers, but no need to do anything until December due to the event being conduced in January. ï‚· Tickets for the Morro Bay 50/50 drawing-this weekend at the Morro Bay Harbor Festival. ï‚· Basic PRLS in Cambria on October 10th, 2009 5 people are going-have fun! ï‚· Cambria Casino night is also on October 10th. Cambria Vets hall is the venue and the event starts at 6:00 p.m. ï‚· Marie and Wilfred from the Rotary Club of Fresno are proponets of the slow cooker. ï‚· 25.00 dollar donation can be made to the Roaty Club of Fresno. The cooker can cook anything a regular oven can. Vegetables, meats and potatoes. ï‚· This dynamic duo dedicates their volunteer time to help families in Africa with this efficient cooker that works by transmitting light, to heat which works like a slow cooker. ï‚· Rotary is Cooking ï‚· Screen on November 5th.
