Cayucos Rotary’s first club meeting for 2021-22 this evening was a riot. It’s a garden’s theme - several of us showed up in overalls and garden garb 🙃. We came bearing hydrangeas - our president’s favorite and members brought fruits and veggies from their garden. DJ Kim Cade played rock and roll for us to kick off the meeting. Club President Michele Lilley was on a roll : introducing Rotary International’s new theme, “Serve to Save Lives” and sharing RI President Shekhar Mehta and the new Board with members. We would know soon, when District Governor Dana Moldovan would be visiting our club. The year’s planned events and projects was shared with every member.

We also got to celebrate member Katherine Hudson’s birthday. Two other great news : baby Michael Shopshear is expected in 3 weeks while our sweet Taylor Eisemann will be a new mom soon💕 Cayucos Rotary is indeed growing💕 Thanks to members’ hard work and support from friends and community, our club had sold about $12,000 in ebike tickets👍 Coming up is the Community pancake breakfast on Labor Day. This is a free annual event where the whole club just get together to make pancakes and serve the community. We are happy to resume this community event after a two-year closure due to Covid. See you on Labor Day🥞🥞
