Club Secretary informed the club on how to keep our attendance high and how to conduct a make-up, What Rotary means to her and how she coordinates with R.I.

Friday, April 24th 1-1:30 @ the Pier is the next Beach clean-up.
April 30th Rotary will be dark due to El Chorro Regional Park field trip
Crusin' Morro Bay Car Show: Ice Cream vendor is willing to donate an ice cream cart and ice cream cups available. Nipomo club also has a cart and cones etc. Canopy will be set up on Napa and Morro Bay Blvd. Saturday and Sunday is when we need your help. 1st and 2nd of May.
Induction of Gary Barker: Divine Catering is his vocation and Gary has been a chef for 35 years. Belong to the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce and works for local Green Builder and recently retired from the state of Alaska. Gary has 2 daughters. We welcome you and feel grateful to have you in our fellowship.
Guest Speaker: Roger Lyon Cayucos Land Conservancy Specialize in land usage. Involved in conservation efforts.
Started 10 years ago negotiated with the state of California a permanent protection from turning around and selling the land and putting something on it.
A filter for what the community wants.
2 -500,000 grants, raised money locally, and charitable donations have all contributed to the success of the conservancy.
Vision is the create a green belt the limits development.
Future goal is to make a deal with Chevron and get a conservation easement
A number of volunteer opportunities: Clean up days, ambassador program, docent/friendly greeter position.
Partnering up with the conservancy to clean up the bluffs etc.
Received the highest environmental honor of the year

District Assembly: a huge success. Bakersfield is the next venue.
National immunization Day on April 19th 4-6 p.m. 490 Los Osos Valley Road.
