In lieu of our usual Rotary meeting, Cayucos Rotarians visited the new sewer plant facility at Toro Creek and were educated on the progress and goals of the Sanitary District. Cayucans are proud of the Cayucos Sanitary District's hard work on the new sewer plant, which is due to be completed in October 2020. Construction is slated to cost about $25 million ~ under budget. It's exciting that Cayucos should be able to disconnect and operate independently of Morro Bay by early 2021. A 10-year plan is in place to create a recycling water plan - water from toilet to tap.
