She is an inspiration to all Rotarians. Going on 13, she's already raising funds to help women and families in Darfur obtain solar cookers, so that they may fend for themselves, and avoid danger...Also, check out the "Rookie Club of the Year" award received by Cayucos-Seaside.

If you are interested guess who to contact?-Dan!! 295.00 is the cost. · Paso Robles has a winemakers cook off on August 8th 6-9. · Guest Speaker: Nalani · Kasanoff Learned about different forms of racism and prejudice and Darfur. · Was involved because of a project to raise money so she can send it $30.00 is the cost of the cooker. The supplies are sent to the women in order to prevent them from traveling many miles. Through travel, women would be raped on their journey and the cooker will eliminate this extra travel. · Gathering firewood has been the women's job for generations. Solar cookers Jewish WorldWatch has started a campaign to provide solar cookers in order to cook food. All 5,000 families have been furnished with these cookers. More camps are now in the process of receiving these necessities. · Video presented titled, The Women of Iridimi. Showed how the cooker has made a positive impact and cut down on violence and abuse. · Thank you for sharing this important project with us-You are a future Rotarian in the making and already a humanitarian at the age of 12. · Step-Down party 3-6 this Sunday, June 28th, 2009. 30 people in attendance. Beer, wine, appetizers, Remember this is roast and it's all in good fun. Don't take anything personally, a roast is the tradition so just go with it. · Next meeting will be informal.
