On November 20, 2009, Craig Campbell will attempt to solo race the 42nd running of the world famous BAJA 1000 Off Road Race in an effort to raise money through mileage pledges for The Rotary Foundation Polio Fund, to help eradicate polio off the planet.
Craig will be riding his Trusty WR 450 Yamaha, which is being prepared at his CAM-FAB Motorsports shop for the grueling 1000-mile race being held on the north end of the Baja Peninsula, starting and ending in the seaport of Ensenada B.C.
The Rotary Club of Cayucos-Seaside is seeking clubs, individuals, companies, etc., to pledge any denomination per mile that Craig completes for this worthy cause. 100% of the pledges will go to eradicate polio in the remaining four endemic countries: Afghanistan, India, Nigeria & Pakistan, & prevent any resurgence of the disease in our country.
