Helping Hands from Cayucos Students
Armed with trash pick up tools, the Cayucos 6th to 8th graders were out on Cayucos Beach with Past President Sherry Sim and Club Secretary Jessica Peterson from the Rotary Club of Cayucos-Seaside to keep the beach clean. The 15 students (not in order) are: 6th graders - Emily Bartlett, Bobby and Tyler Carbone, Holly Jacobson, Kelsey and Yardley Launchbaugh, Sophie and Steve Nelson, Mona Panchal, Emma Suffia, Quinnten Thomas; 7th grader - Skyler Thayer; and 8th graders - Garrett Blanchard, Terry Miller, Jessica Rivas, and Macy Watson.
The pick up is part of Cayucos Rotary's commitment to maintain Cayucos Beach on a regular basis. In return, the San Luis Obispo County Parks has honored the club with a plague by the pier.
