CAYUCOS SCHOOL'S 1ST EVER SCOREBOARD
This fall, Cayucos school students will be able to play with students from all over the county, on their own school ground with the newly installed electronic scoreboard that is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cayucos-Seaside. The new scoreboard compliments the brand new school gym that boasts a state-of-art sports facility.
A check for $2,500 was presented by Sherry Sim, Charter President of the Cayucos Rotary to George Erdelyi, Superintendent on the school's grand opening on August 26th, 2009. Students and community members, including Bruce Gibson, County Board Supervisor, graced the ceremony. Also in attendance from Cayucos Rotary were current Club President, Dan Costley; Liz Gray, President-Elect; Jessica Peterson, Club Secretary; Jan Goldman, Club Treasurer; and Liz Weeth, Membership Director.
The Rotary Club of Cayucos-Seaside wishes to thank the school, teachers and the community for their support, and particularly, Tobin James of Tobin James Winery, who contributed generously at the car washes organized by the club to fundraise for the scoreboard.
