Saitia Faaifo is a dynamic combination of trainer, 3-time author, educator, motivational speaker and activist. Faaifo's humble beginnings began as a youth growing up in the popular town of Kalihi, on the island of Oahu. The third of six children born to Saitia, Sr., and Eloise Faaifo, Saitia easily established himself through his passion for pride and respect for self and others.
Throughout his freshman book, The Riches for Respect, (2006), Saitia illustrates an unwillingness to separate himself from ethics, leadership, and human dignity. For example, on page 14 of his book he shares, "A Lesson In Leadership From My Heart." Here, Saitia Faaifo masterfully depicts his experience about his decision to ignore peer pressure and openly support a female classmate who was being teased during lunchtime because of a disfigured face.
Mr. Faaifo's professional management career began with numerous promotions with Gourmet Specialties, Comcast, and Tree of Life. He was promoted six times in six years with Alameda County's (CA, USA), Two Count. Throughout his professional career, Saitia has used his speaking engagements to introduce his theme: "Respect is the universal language." Faaifo's professional speaking career was ignited after watching a PBS special featuring motivational speaker, Les Brown. The experience led him to read Brown's book, The Courage to Live Your Dreams,be mentored by Les Brown, and become the dynamic speaker and author he is today. Although his primary audiences represent the Polynesian and Hawaiian cultures, his unifying message allows him to connect with diverse audiences in print, in person, radio, and on television.
Saitia's integrity has earned him a reputation as the most powerful motivational speaker from Hawaii. His debut book, The Riches of Respect, clearly illustrates that Saitia is not resting on his laurels. He continues to write and is making plans for the release of his next book.
He serves as an activist for the Polynesian culture. His future goals include opening up an institution for higher learning for Polynesian entrepreneurs. Saitia is a 1983 graduate of Ewa Beach Campbell High School, Hawaii and Silicon Valley College, CA where he graduated third in his class and earned a Cisco Certification as a network technician. Currently, Saitia resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. During two successful book tour stints to his native home Oahu, he was both honored and welcomed by the Mayor, several high schools, and adorable fans.
When Saitia is not speaking, reading, or writing, he enjoys working out and watching the NFL's Miami Dolphins.
