Club Updates
This week "Solar Decathlon" by Sean Irwin; see what Santa Clara University students, a national competition and a new energy efficient house have in common.
May 2 we have the La Paloma Brunch , get your tickets from THE don skinner. All members are committed to two tickets, if you cannot use your tickets, please feel free to give them family or friends or donate them back to the club and we will see that some worthy souls get to use them. If you care to buy more for giving or donating, please let Mr. Skinner know. Thanks Don!
Also, June 3, it is time to visit with the Past Presidents at the Elk's Lodge in Santa Clara for our annual BBQ. Mister Bob Gustke will have more details. This is a great chance to the newer members to connect with the "Founding Fathers" of our club and see a little afternoon delight. in the form of beer and tasty BBQ.
Remember this Sunday is the 5k run at Great America Benefiting the Mission City Community Fund. We are hoping to see a good showing form our club. I will be there with you in spirit, as I have a soccer game in Monterey after the conference.
We have a board meeting this Thursday, 6 PM at Holder's Country Inn, Saratoga Avenue, San JOOsie!

The District Celebration is this weekend in Monterey, ( http://www.rotary5170.org/district/default.asp ) sign up to stay the weekend or just come down for some fellowship and dine with other Rotarians from around the district and around the world! We will have 16 people from our club so you should see someone you know!
The golf tournament is Friday 1 PM tee-off at the Del Monte Golf Course ( http://www.rotary5170.org/events/conf10_golf.asp ). We have three members signed up and have paid for four, so we are still looking for one to join in with Miles, Terry and Steve (Rod's fill-in),. still looking for Ted's (fill-in).
