President's Update
Last week's Speaker
Thank you to Maria Daane and her Guest Julie from the Santa Clara Library. Maria gave us a compelling summary of the value and importance of our local treasure trove of knowledge, the City Library system. Despite the revised title that was partially influenced by Johnny B, the presentation was exceptional and raised the bar for any other members planning a presentation, PE Anton Morec included!
Club Update
This past week we welcomed our newest member Brian Cadieux into our club as our newest Red Badge member. Brian and his lovely wife Doreen were both on hand at our recent Scotch Tasting Event. If you have not done so already, please be sure to greet Brian at our next meeting.
The Enterprise Leadership Conference is set to begin this week down at Asilomar in Pacific Grove, several of our members including Steve Rainbolt, Sandy Allen, Miles Barber and others will be taking part in the conference which starts Wednesday and goes through Friday. We have high hopes and expectations that a successful program will help to continue the Rotary Club of Santa Clara's support of youth programs in our community.

Kieran Lehane of Limerick Ireland will be our guest this week. Mr. Lehane be presenting on his club and the City of Limerick. Which reminds me of a Limerick, ."There once was man from Spain, who was such a .." Well never mind. See you Thursday!
Club Reminder
Please help our club Sergeant at Arms and Treasurer keep proper attendance. All members are asked to sign in at the front table before getting their meals. Also members with club debt exceeding (60) days or $400 are asked to pay meals cash until their accounts are current. The club thanks you for help in controlling our costs and efforts in collections!
