President's Message & More

Last week's Meeting Aliza Peleg gave a compelling presentation on a new venture to bring electric vehicles the charge they need to become the main mode of transportation in the world. Ms. Peleg outlined a business plan with strong financial support (already near $550M), that will virtually bring the oil producers to a new realization and usher in the second coming of the car industry? We will see! Thanks Aliza. Thanks to Lou Ann for inviting our current scholarship recipients to our meeting last week. We are very pleased to present these four students two years of assistance at $2,000 in the (their) junior college endeavors. Also thanks to Margaret and the others in club and at the schools that have helped create this reality for our future leaders. This Week Anton Morec has the reigns yet again as he gives his President Elect presentation. THERE WILL BE NO JEEP PICTURES, so please come and enjoy a promising presentation on the new year with our new Chief Anton! Soccer Tournament meeting is Thursday 11:30 AM at our regular meeting location. Come early and learn what it takes to make near 3,000 visit our fine city in August…. Oh and play about 200 soccer games. Please remember to sign when you attend the meetings, this will help in billing and attendance. Club Updates Get it on your calendar, August 13-15, Area 6 club members and our club, are invited to attend the delivery ceremonies in Ameca, Mexico. This is where our DDF monies went to help facilitate a new computer center in the desert Mexican town of 55,000 people. Our invite is at the request of the Rotary President of the Ameca Club. Any of our members interested in attending should let me know as soon as you can. Remember June 3, it is time to visit with the Past Presidents at the Elk's Lodge in Santa Clara for our annual BBQ.
