Meeting Summary and more!
 

Thanks to Steve Stavis, Superintendent of the Santa Clara Unified School District, for his presentation last week.  Steve gave a state of the school district address to our club and provided information on both the successes and challenges that face our school district now and in the future. 

 

Miles donated SAP tickets to the club membership and several lucky Rotarians took advantage of the gift.Thanks Miles!

This weekend was our annual Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance provided at the pleasure of President Elect Anton Morec.  The event featured a luxury coach ride from Santa Clara to Jack London Square on one of Royal Coaches finest buses (Thanks to Sandy Allen).  The contingent of near 60 Rotarians boarded an evening launched boat with music food and drink for a three hour tour around the bay.  The waters were calm and the night was as lovely as you could ask it to be.  The City lights and company aboard the ship was outstanding.  Thanks to Anton for his planning and execution of another wonderful Rotary event.  Surely we are in for a treat if this is a glimpse into his coming presidency that is less than a 140 days away.

Board Meeting

Due to several members being away this Thursday our Board meeting scheduled for this week will be rescheduled for Tuesday (02/23) 6 PM at Dan Holders.  

 

Upcoming events reminder:

*       Sign up now for the District Celebration scheduled for April 23 -25.  District 5170  

 

*       STRS training on March 20

 

*       Dinner with Gary Cittti and Scotch Sampling Event, Sign up for Scotch (Open to Rotarians & Guests) we have a limited amount of room and already have 18 registered guests with room for another 8 or so.
