President Nordmo's Update

Last week's Speaker

Kieran Lehane of Ireland presented the club with greetings from his fine city of Limerick.  Kieran is part of a group visiting Santa Clara in concert with establishing Limerick as a sister city to Santa Clara.  Thanks Andy for bringing in a little culture to the club again!  Kieran's presentation was lively and well received.  Unfortunately, the teleprompter was not working and our subtitles could not be seen by most, so no one is really sure of what he said?!   ;)  Thank you, Kieran for spending time with us, and thanks for the gifts to our club including the prized bottle to our President, me, the Jameson Whiskey, however, the bottle and flash was promptly confiscated by former law enforcement Terry Carmode to ensure quality control.  Thanks Terry for contributing $100 toward our shelter box program.  Enjoy the whiskey!

Thanks to Margaret for her efforts toward our Interactors, she collected over $350 toward the Charity Dinner April 10.  Also, Lou Ann is seeking help for interviews of the 16 scholarship requestors that we recently received.  Please contact Lou Ann if you can help.

Don Skinner will be providing LaPaloma Brunch tickets at our next meeting.

Dan Holder has informed us that we are now at $12,600 for TRF giving this year.   You have until June to get your contributions in, but don't wait.

Next week we are dark in the afternoon, but, we shall be meeting at the Campo di Bocce Ball in Los Gatos in the evening.  Please contact John Bertolotti for details if you wish to attend.  Sign ups are near closed

Please help our club Sergeant at Arms and Treasurer keep proper attendance.  All members are asked to sign in at the front table before getting their meals.  Also members with club debt exceeding (60) days or $400 are asked to pay meals cash until their accounts are current.  The club thanks you for help in controlling our costs and efforts in collections!  ".Fair to all concerned"
