Fellow Rotarians,

For our meeting this week, we will have a recap of our amazing Enterprise Leadership Conference.  Some of the student participants will be there as special guests to give their feedback on the event, so you will not want to miss this meeting.

Thank you to Jan Eric Nordmo, Nicola Nordmo, and Colleen Noll for all of their work to make our wine dinner and Scotch tasting this past weekend a smashing success!  I would also like to express my appreciation to Jim and Cheryl Landes for once again hosting the event at their gorgeous Black Ridge Vineyards, and to all the Rotarians who donated money, Scotch, or raffle prizes for this event.  The proceeds from the event will go toward sending our Interact students to RYLA.

The District Conference this year is at the Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose on April 11-13.  The conference will be a fun and inspiring event, and since the conference is being held locally this year, I encourage all members to attend at least one event.  For members with a red badge, this is a great way to meet your blue badge requirement of attending a district event.  Bob Buchser will in charge of the speech event at the Sunday brunch and I will be the master of ceremonies for the Saturday dinner.  You can register on the District 5170 website: http://www.clubrunner.ca/Portal/Home.aspx?did=5170.

In the next two weeks on April 4th and 8th you will see our club in the San Jose Mercury news as part of a District 5170 PR advertising campaign.  The ads are done by area and highlight our Rotary clubs’ youth projects.  We will be featured along with the other area 5 clubs in the Eye section.  I have attached a copy of the ad so you can check it out.
