A Look Back at March 01, 2012
The Rotary Club of
Santa Clara has a deep commitment to education and literacy, which is one of
the six areas of focus TRF has identified in helping people in developing
countries as well at home.
The month of March
is known as Literacy Month in Rotary. It
has been said that, “Literacy arouses hopes, not only in society as a whole but
also in the individual who is striving for fulfillment, happiness and personal
benefit by learning how to read and write.”

The Inaugural Silicon Valley

Club of Santa Clara aspires to be one of the many wonderful and entertaining
community events that the City of Santa Clara has to offer. The event will be
held on June 29th & 30th and located at the Mervyn’s

benefit the children of the community through the various programs of The
Rotary Club of Santa Clara.
The Silicon Valley BBQ Championships
is a community event with the spotlight on our professional BBQ competition
that boasts $10,000 in prize money. At the event you will have a chance to
enjoy a variety of food and beverages; from BBQ to Pizza while you listen to
live music, check out over 200 classic and exotic automobiles and speak to many
local businesses that will be offering promotions on services that you can use
in your everyday life. We encourage families to visit the event and take
advantage of the Kids Fun Zone that will have many activities for children from
face painting to bounce houses. In addition to these many fun activities we
will be holding raffles for many products and services offered by our featured
businesses.
The Inaugural Silicon Valley
