Rotary Bike Elves Turn Out
Last week Sunrise Rotary assisted the Secret Santa program by tuning up a goodly share of 200 bicycles donated through Friedmans’ Hardware to lower socio-economic kids in Sonoma County.
The Rotary elves worked on hand brakes, seats, pedals, chains, derailers, tightened bolts and as Elf Mary Banks said, “the most important thing of all- the bell HAS to work”.
The North Pole was moved to a vacant storefront in Montgomery Village; working on the crew was Art King, Olin Leasher, Paul O’Rear, Peter and Mary Banks, Tom Eakin and Ken Petro.
