Lindsey Alman, BVMS, and daughter of club member, Eloise Tweeten, gave a thoughtful and relevant presentation of standards for disease prevention in household pets. Lindsey is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, having attended veterinary school in Glasgow, Scotland. Lindsey is an avid pet owner and pet advocate! She discussed standards for disease prevention in pets, including vaccination, monthly fee and tick prevention, keeping cats indoors, monthly heart worm prevention, regular deworming, proper diet, oral care, spaying and neuter, early detection screening, insurance and annual examinations. She also discussed the importance of taking steps to prevent periodontal disease. Great job, Lindsey (and Eloise)!!
