District Training Assembly Ukiah

Barely visible in the background glare, District 5130's pre-Assembly dinner security gateway was the site of Sunrise Rotarian Randy Seelye's pat down by Sebastopol Rotarians.  Acting on orders of District Governor Elect Bob Rogers to make meaningful contact with participants, the two assigned agents did their best to cajole and coax folks into high-flying spirits as DGE Bob displayed his professional-vocational expertise as a former commercial pilot.  Bob challenged us to "Let our dreams take flight".

Randy, a newly branded Tesla Model S pilot was cheerfully harassed by the agents for possessing an obscure, high tech key module.  Agents attempted to negotiate a test drive but Randy read his rights of sole possession and was granted access, and custody of his fob.  President Merle, Del Raby and Rich Randolph also attended the kick-off.

Saturday morning the focus area sessions began following President Elect Doug's inaugural flight:

That is Doug at the podium and on the big screen!
