In a 90 minute flight from STS to SAN an unsuspecting Cardinal Newman grad had what became a mutually beneficial conversation with this Rotarian. He, me, dared speaking with a stranger, even shaking hands!
in the ensuing conversation I learned of the student's career ambitions ~ international business, and the coed discovered Rotary's Peace Fellow and Ambassadorial Scholar Programs. I discovered San Diego University has a cooperative program with Ashoka Changemakers.
In 90 minutes two people's interests intersected and curiosity was generated to learn more. My copy of the Rotarian changfed hands, and thanks to the "chance"? encounter, my luggaage carousel change didn't dely me too long ~ the student saw me at the wrong carousel and redirected!
