My Year as President – 1992-93 - Dave Lorenzen
Unique year as we were the “Host Club” for 5130, District Governor Del Raby. We had the responsibility of not only supporting our Club, but also supporting Del as Governor of 5130.

Goals for the year;
· 10% Net gain in membership
· Spend more money than we made
· $50 per capita to The Foundation

· 100% participation in the District Conference

High School Speech Contest “How Can A Local Community Become A Campus For Learning”

Work Party at Oak Grove School (Landscaping) chaired by Bill Amos

International Project with Coyaique, Chile (discovered by Del Raby) for woodstoves and classroom equipment – 1K Sunrise, 1K Kagoshima, 1K 5130, 3K RI = $6,000
International Cataract Surgery Project in Jakarta – 1K Sunrise, 1K 5130, 2K RI = $4,000 = 600 surgeries
$123 per capita in giving (Third in the District)

“At a recent meeting of the District Conference Committee, who were critiquing the Conference, a member of another Rotary club in the district expressed the amount of work involved in hosting a District Conference, and how ‘It simply was not possible for any one club to host such an event.’ The immediate response from DG Del was, ‘What do you mean, one club just did!’”
